Monroeville Public Library has a dedicated space for science and technology.

We offer monthly coding classes, 3D design classes and other special events.

Design 3D art, prototypes/models and print using our equipment. Tools available for use include 3D printer (Makerbot) 3D scanner, 3D design software (Tinkercad, Sketchup, Sculptris), electronic cutting machine for cardstock and fabric (Silhouette Cameo), laser cutter and engraver for plywood, draftboard acrylic and glass (Glowforge).

 

 

Use the Maker Lab’s equipment with your fabric, thread, yarn, or other materials to create something great!

Tools available for use include sewing machines, knitting needles, crochet hooks, needles, pins, shears, tailor’s chalk, steam iron, tape measures.

Understand circuitry with through games and challenges, build and program robots, light up drawings with paper circuits, and more.

 

Tools available for use include Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, LittleBits, Makey Makey, Finch robots, Lego WeDo, copper tape, LEDs, coin batteries, breadboards, hobby motors, servo motors, capacitors, pulse sensors.

 

 

Record, edit and more with our state-of-the art equipment for audio, video, and design projects.

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, InDesign),

Garage Band, Snowball Microphone, Green screen.

We wanted to let you know that we are making some BIG changes to our Maker Lab!  We plan on having a new batch of classes as well as some of our old favorites starting in September.
