The Monroeville Public Library provides meeting and study room space free of charge for Library programs and for other meetings and programs of an informational, educational, cultural, or civic nature. Meeting rooms are available to the community consistent with the Library’s mission of disseminating information to the community and encouraging free and open expression and exchange of ideas. Programs in which the public is encouraged, either covertly or overtly, to buy a commodity or service from the program leader or organization, or which further one individual’s goal, or charge a fee, will be charged a $25 per hour rental fee, payable by the individual or organization sponsoring the program. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The following groups meet regularly at the library.

County of Westmoreland Macintosh Users Group (COWMUG) meets at the Monroeville Public Library on the first Thursday of the month, with an occasional change in sites to due special events or circumstances. 7-9 p.m.

The Monroeville Life Writers meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. A friendly, easy-going group of writers who share written stories of life experiences. We help each other improve writing, discover insights and find new story ideas. Writers of any level from beginner to published are welcome. 1-3 p.m.

Monroeville Poets is a group of friends who love, respect, and appreciate poetry in all of its many forms. Our primary mission is to provide a forum where folks can read, listen, and perhaps feel inspired. We encourage original work as well as the work of others in a free and unassuming atmosphere. Monroeville Poets meets on the third Wednesday of each month. 7-9 p.m. Program Room  
Monroeville Toastmasters meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation. 7-9 p.m. Program Room Website
PCNCC Model Investment Club meets on the fourth Saturday of each month except December. Learn how to screen and analyze stocks, then track them using the different software BetterInvesting offers. Model Club meetings are open to anyone interested in BetterInvesting investment decision-making techniques. **FREE** Visitors Always Welcome. 9-11 a.m. Program Room
Pittsburgh East Writers meets on the third Saturday of each month. A pro bono support and educational writer's group offering free monthly workshops and group critique sessions for novice writers of genre fiction. 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Conference Room Website
