Thanks to the generosity of the Jack Buncher Foundation, all participating Allegheny County libraries will receive a pro-rated portion of a $200,000 match pool to support their general operations. All donations received during September 2021, up to a maximum of $500 per donor per library, will count toward the match pool.
What's going on at the Library?
We are making improvements to our main driveway and entrance to eliminate flooding. This project will reduce stormwater runoff and improve water quality to the Turtle Creek Watershed. The drive will be paved with permeable concrete pavers. Some other features of the project are: a rain garden to capture and infiltrate runoff, relocation of accessible parking spaces closer to the front entrance, better lighting, new accessible ramps, walks, and a drive-up material drop box.
This project is made possible by a partnership funded by PA DEP Growing Greener program with Allegheny County Conservation District, Westmoreland Conservation District, and the Municipality of Monroeville to protect and improve the Turtle Creek Watershed.
The Monroeville Public Library drop is open.
The return of ANY checked out materials can be made at ANY desk (when we are open). After-hours returns can be made in the book drop, located outside the Children’s entrance doors.
Featuring stylish and useful merchandise!!
